Emmerdale fans spot clue proving what Nicky Miligan’s explosive secret is

EMMERDALE fans think they have worked out Nicky Miligan’s big secret after an old friend turned up in the village.

With Nicky - who is played by actor Lewis Cope in the ITV soap - stepping up his plan to marry Gabby Thomas, he took her to The Hide in an effort to get her excited about wedding planning.

 But when he got there he was in for a shock as an old friend arrived - and made it very clear it was no coincidence. 

Introducing himself to Gabby and Laurel, Alex inserted himself into their plans and convinced Gabby to take him back to Home Farm.

But once he got Gabby out of the room, the truth emerged.

He told Nicky: “I knew you lived here, which is why I came looking. I can’t believe you’re getting married and you didn’t even tell me.”

Nicky hit back: “This has got nothing to do with you so go and don’t come back.”

The fraught exchange had Nicky seeming jealous, but fans are convined they have worked out what he is hiding - that’s he gay.

One wrote: "If that’s Nicky’s ex boyfriend, then my assumption that he was gay was correct."

A second said: "Do we add Nicky on the ever growing list of gay people in the village?"

A third commented: "Nicky is defo gay!"

Another added: "Nicky's gay isn't he?"

Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson recently teased a big secret that Nicky has been keeping from everyone.

“We know that Nicky is Caleb’s son and that’s all kicked off,” she said. 

“But there is something else to still find out which I’m not going to tell you. But not all the secrets have been revealed yet. 

“I also love reading all your theories and sometimes and think ‘Oh God that’s a really good idea, we should have done that one’. 

“So there is something else you’re going to learn and there is going to be someone from Nicky’s past who turns up as well. 

“We will be left wondering what this means for Gabby. We know they are planning a wedding - is that going to go off? Is it not going to go off?”
