Now Yewande Biala - who appeared on the fifth series of Love Island in 2019 - is fronting the one-off film exploring female orgasms.

Yewande, 27, is a biochemist and author with two degrees, and despite appearing on Love Island - which has seen contestants have sex in the Hideaway on a number of occasions - she has never had an orgasm.

She isn't alone on that either, because as many as one in eight women have also struggled to achieve the big O.

For Yewande, she was brought up in a strict Catholic family and she struggled with anxiety and shame about sex.

In fact, she didn’t find out that women could have orgasms until she was 19 or 20.

In this one-off film, Secrets of the Female Orgasm, Yewande meets other women, scientists and therapists to hear their stories, research and advice.

She will attempt to learn everything there is to know about the complexity of the female orgasm in a bid to experience one herself for the first time.

Yewande's programme is part of a trailblazing line up of new provocative programmes on Channel 4.

Speaking at the Channel’s Content Showcase in London, Chief Content Officer, Ian Katz, unveiled the slate of “purposeful, provocative but never predictable” programming which will get people “thinking, arguing and asking questions about the world in which we live”.

The shows include Depp V Heard, a three-part series examining the infamous defamation trial that captured the world’s attention, as well as Davina McCall's The Pill, a follow up to her hugely successful documentaries on the menopause.
