Love Island’s Zara reveals her DMs are ‘full of famous guys’ saying ‘I don’t need a man for fame’

LOVE Island star Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown has hit back at claims that her relationship with Jordan Odofin was "fake" - saying: "I don't need a man for fame".

The model, 25, enjoyed a brief romance with fellow co-star Jordan after leaving the villa.

But the pair went their separate ways just weeks later and were accused by fans of "faking" their romance.

Zara has now hit out and said her romance with Jordan was not forced - saying they both found each other attractive and had nothing to lose by getting to know each other.

"I'm single, I'm living my best life," Zara exclusively told The Sun.

"What a lovely boy, I can't fault Jordan - we were dating and like when you just realise that there is not that romantic spark but it's all good, we're friends.

"I want the best for him, he wants the best for me, we have a lot of mutual respect for each other.

"It wasn't fake - I heard that rumour. Someone said he said that, he never said that. Why would we fake it? We have nothing to fake.

"We had a shared experience, we found each other attractive, he's stunning, he found me attractive.

"We didn't get to meet in the villa, so we gave it a go and it just wasn't meant to be and that's alright."

But the actress won't be losing any sleep over her break-up, revealing that her DMs are full of hot single men.

"I few eligible bachelors in the DMs but I'm focusing on myself right now, yes some famous people - but that was my life before, I had guys in my DMs before so that's nothing new for me," she laughed.

"It doesn't excite me - it's about the personality and the heart, not the blue tick."

Last month, the pair updated fans on their romance.

Taking to her Instagram story, Zara said: "Hey everyone, Jordan and I would like to acknowledge the increasing public support for us to be seen as an exclusive couple.

"After a few dates since leaving the villa, we know that we definitely get along and enjoy each other's company.

"It's been two and a half weeks of getting to know each other, and for now it's a fun friendship between us.

"We have a lot of respect for each other and that's what matters."

Zara, 25, entered the villa on day three as a bombshell and had eyes for Tom Clare.

However she was dumped from the villa when the northern hunk decided to couple up with Ellie Spencer instead.

Zara later confessed that she wished Jordan was in the villa when she was in there so they could have got to know each other.
