This week, Nina headed to a construction site in Burton-Upon-Trent for a BBC Breakfast segment on suicide rates within the industry.

Afterwards, she posted a picture on her Instagam alongside three male construction workers and wrote: "You are statistically almost 4 x more likely to die from suicide if you work in construction.

"Financial pressures, professional isolation, a culture of “getting on with it,” play a part. But obviously every mental struggle is unique.

"A huge thanks to our guests who spoke openly about their struggles, and the ripples of losing a loved colleague to suicide."

Nina's followers were quick to comment on the heart-breaking issue, with one writing: "Great interview Nina. Hope you are ok and pregnancy is going ok."

Another added: "That is a shocking statistic…"

A third commented: "As a construction manager it is very stressful at times, so any initiative is very welcome."

It isn't the first emotionally-charged topic Nina has covered in recent weeks.

Last month, Nina left viewers in tears after watching her report on dementia.

Nina has been incredibly open about the impact the degenerative disease has had on her dad Chris and the rest of their family since his diagnosis in 2022.

The soon-to-be mum-of-three put together a series of short features with the BBC, interviewing other families going through the same thing.

After speaking about her father’s deteriorating condition on the breakfast show earlier this year, Nina was contacted by many other people who are also experiencing the devastating reality of living with a parent who has dementia.
