Countryfile viewers blast BBC for ‘pushing an agenda’ with wildlife report – raging ‘give it a break!’
FANS of Countryfile were left unimpressed with the BBC as they blasted the broadcaster for 'pushing an agenda' following its latest campaign film.
The latest episode of the show fell flat with viewers as it aired scenes relating to the Wild Britain campaign.
Viewers were left airing their concerns online that the show had become too 'political'.
The Wild Britain campaign concerns a new bill which is currently going through parliament and weather it could undermine the future protection of nature.
Long-standing host of the show John Craven was quick to explain in a bit more detail to BBC viewers about the bill and the current wildlife crisis.
John said: "I have been so lucky to see some of our rarest creatures close up. From dolphins to beavers and hazel door mice.

"In this country, we have some of the most amazing wildlife but sadly it's in crisis.
"More than 40 per cent of all our species have plummeted since the 1970s."
John went onto detail the specifics about intensive farming and how it was having an adverse affect on the population of our wildlife.
It was claimed that as intensive farming increases, natural habitats are lost - something which could cause great concern.
But for some viewers, they were left feeling disgruntled at the 'agenda pushing' of the episode.
One fan declared that Countryfile had become synonymous with new ideologies each week as they slammed the episode.
They said: "I’m not riling against the message #countryfile are pushing about making space for nature, but every episode seems to push an agenda these days, no longer is it join *insert presenter* on a nice preamble around Bakewell or some other picturesque town/village."
Another agreed, adding: "Half expecting the end of this programme to be followed by the following! 'That was a party political broadcast by the #countryfile party'."
Whilst a third barked "give it a break" as the episode drew to a close, writing: "Politicised #countryfile Give it a break @BBC"
Despite this, some telly watchers claimed not to see what all the fuss was about as they offered up a differing opinion.
One said of the programme: "I don’t see what was political about tonight’s #countryfile ? Happy to hear some facts!"
As a second praised the reporting, adding: "Top episode of @BBCCountryfile this evening. Proper reporting. #WildBritain #Countryfile."
Countryfile airs Sundays on BBC One and you can catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
