TV streaming services are releasing new TV programmes all the time, so here's a round up of the latest additions that are worth checking out.
Netflix
Sweet Tooth - Available Thursday
The first series of Sweet Tooth was an unexpected gem. Heart-stopping, strange and moving, it introduced a world torn apart by a terrible illness called The Sick, and the sudden, unexplained births of children who were half-human and half-animal. At the heart of it all is Gus (Christian Convery), a boy who’s half-deer, and who heads off with the kindly Jepperd (Nonso Anozie) on a seemingly futile mission to find his long-lost mother, Birdie, following the death of his father.
Last time we were with Gus, he’d – spoiler alert – been captured by the evil General Abbot (Neil Sandilands), to be used in experiments by Dr Singh (Adeel Akhtar) to find a cure for The Sick. Now, with a new wave of the illness hitting, the pressure is on for Singh to complete his work – and for Gus to save himself and the other captive hybrid kids. Meanwhile, Jepperd and Aimee (Dania Ramirez) do everything they can to rescue the children.
How Gus’s mother Birdie will fit into the new series – she was revealed to be alive at the very end of the first season – remains to be seen. Spectacular fantasy drama.

Peter Pan & Wendy - Available Friday
Let's return to Never Land in this captivating new live action version of the evergreen story. As the title suggests, Wendy Darling (Ever Anderson) – a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind – is front and centre here, and when she and her brothers meet Peter Pan (Alexander Molony), a boy who refuses to grow up, adventure ensues. The film is full of likeable characters played by an engaging young cast, including tiny fairy Tinker Bell (Yara Shahidi) and the Lost Boys (who aren't all boys this time). Of course, there’s also the villain of the piece, evil pirate captain Captain Hook, played by Jude Law with moustache-twirling gusto. Fun for all the family which truly brings out the wonder of JM Barrie's original tale.
Will Trent - Available Wednesday
The series of novels by the brilliantly-named American crime author Karin Slaughter that follow Will Trent, a special agent from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), have a very loyal readership. Now, Ramón Rodríguez (Iron Fist) stars as the main man, an unconventional investigator who wears three piece suits and has a scene-stealing Chihuahua named Betty. Will also has hidden depths, as being abandoned at birth and enduring Atlanta's overwhelmed foster care system spurred him on to achieving the highest clearance rate in the GBI. The Southern US setting, charismatic lead actor and truly original mysteries make this an appealing new crime addition.
Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures - Available Wednesday
The Star Wars universe expands even further with this thrilling new animated show. Set 200 years before the events of The Phantom Menace – aka Star Wars Episode I – the series follows the adventures of a group of young Jedi trainees as they learn the ways of the Force, explore the Galaxy and lend a helping hand to creatures in need. Featuring a host of memorable new characters, including Kai Brightstar (voiced by Jamaal Avery Jr), Lys Solay (Juliet Donenfeld) and Nubs (Dee Bradley Baker), plus some old favourites – hello, Master Yoda – there’s plenty to keep young Star Wars obsessives happy. Oh, and to give grown-ups a good idea of what will be on many a Christmas list, once the accompanying range of toys drops later this year.
Life In Pieces - Available from Wednesday
Three generations of the eccentric LA-based Short family are at the centre of this sitcom, which features four short stories in every episode. Multi-award winning actress Diane Wiest (Mayor Of Kingstown) plays matriarch Joan alongside fellow Hollywood legend James Brolin (Lightyear) as her husband John. With Colin Hanks (Impeachment: American Crime Story) as the Shorts’ youngest son Greg, the quality cast effortlessly make us care about this kooky brood (and wonder why it was cancelled back in 2019). Stories about awkward topics you never want to discuss with family members ramp up the cringe factor, and if you're a fan of Modern Family you’re sure to enjoy all four seasons as they arrive on Disney+.

Co-starring Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville, Citadel is packed with thrilling big-budget action sequences and excellently choreographed fight scenes. Richard and Priyanka are both on kickass form and they have chemistry to burn. This could be huge.
