The show follows the lives of veterinarians Peter Wright and Julian Norton as they help sick and injured animals.

Cameras capture a typical day across four practices in the county, from all the drama and tears to happy endings.

The vets also encounter all kinds of colourful characters, from children to kindly old ladies to larger-than-life, straight-talking farmers.
