They are also now considering asking for a pay bump too after it emerged head judge Shirley Ballas, reportedly on £500,000 a year, could receive an extra £55,000.

In contrast, the pros — who often train for up to ten hours a day, six days a week — receive a flat fee of £35,000.

Earlier tonight, an insider said: “The pros are seething.

They work their a***s off for three months of the year, while the judges swan in on a Saturday, watch some nice dancing and air their thoughts.

The BBC is said to be standing firm over demands by Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.
