CHANNEL 5 have issued an apology to viewers after airing the wrong episode of a popular show.
During the Easter break, viewers were excited to watch the longstanding favourite, but due to a technical error, everything went wrong.
Springtime on the Farm, now in its fifth year, was set to visit the Cotswolds and see presenters Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson go to Cannon Hall Farm in South Yorkshire.
The delightful show brought Helen back to our television screens. Yet it didn't take long for viewers to realise it wasn't even a new episode.
Those watching at home quickly realised the Easter episode was from last year.
When viewers learned that Channel 5 had aired an old episode, they were outraged and rushed to Twitter to express their anger.

A fifth fumed: "Well that's just annoying. I was really looking forward to seeing a new episode, and they've gone and done that. Ridiculous!"
In a statement, Channel 5 confirmed that the problem was technical, and that the show would return tomorrow (Wednesday) with the new series.
Channel 5 stated: "Due to a technical error last night, the incorrect episode of #SpringtimeOnTheFarm was broadcast. We apologise to all our viewers and can confirm that episode one is now available on My5. Episode 2 of the series will continue as planned this evening, Wednesday 12th April, 8pm."
