SKY has axed a crime thriller just before its brand new series was due to start filming.
Supernatural show The Rising launched on the broadcaster's Sky Max channel and proved popular with viewers.
Its unusual plot centred around the main character, Neve Kelly, realising she is dead.
After making the discovery, she learns she was murdered.
Actress Clara Rugaard plays the role as the character seeks to bring her killer to justice.
But while she hunts down the person responsible, she has to adapt to her new existence which initially scares her.

However, Neve's story has been cut short as Sky have pulled the plug on the second instalment.
A TV insider close to the show told Variety: "It was cancelled before they were due to start filming.
"All the cast and everything [were ready to go] and they just pulled the plug."
The Sun understands Sky had explored how they could bring the show back with different characters, setting and themes while keeping the same premise.

But ultimately TV execs decided not to renew the series.
While the news is gutting for the crew, it has devastated fans too.
The Rising's showrunner Pete McTighe previously teased the second series.
He told Radio Times: "I have already written a plan for a second [season], and I think it’s really exciting and interesting.
"I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to jinx it. I want it to happen."
The Sun Online contacted Sky but they declined to comment.
