Davina McCall fights back tears at heartbreaking bombshell on Long Lost Family – but there’s a happy ending
DAVINA McCall has heard enough harrowing stories to last a lifetime thanks to her role on ITV's heartbreaking Long Lost Family.
But on Tuesday night she appeared to be overwhelmed by one that involved tragedy, but also an amazing twist.

Some fans felt the story - which was revisited in a What Happened Next special - was one of the most emotional ever aired.
It involved Roy Sibblies, who was looking for his birth mother after discovering at 18 that he was adopted.
But the Long Lost Family team had to break the news to him that she had died.
However, host Davina, who looked like she was also fighting back tears on the emotional show, had happy news too.

She explained to viewers that the team had tracked down his brother and sister, who had met with her co-host Nicky Campbell.
Davina said: "As Joe and Dan prepared to meet Roy I was able to give him some of the answers he so desperately needed.
"We told him the news that Janet has died without cameras present."
She was seen arriving at Roy's house, then telling him: "I am so sorry about your mum."

He replied: "The year that she's passed is the year I decided to start looking for her. It hurts a little bit more."
Davina, 55, explained: "It was very sudden and we know this because we have found your brother and sister."
Shocked, he replied: "Brother and sister? Do they know everything about me?"
She told him: "They've known about you all their life" to which he replied simply: "Right. Wow."
Davina went on: "Every year on your birthday you were spoken about."
He replied: "I didn't expect that."
Roy was shown photos of Joe and Dan, as well as a picture of his birth mother. He said: "It's just unfortunate this is the only way I'll see her.
"It's a strange feeling because for 53 years I've been an only child so now to see a picture of siblings I feel quite blessed really."
Cameras showed them meeting for the first time and revealed they had stayed in touch and grown close since their initial appearance on the show.
