The 49-year-old continues to live in the moment as he wrote: “Went to this last year and had a great time. Praying for good weather- Rex is probably just praying for more sugar! #lindisfarnefestival.”

He posted the line-up for this year along with some wholesome family photos from last year's festival.

The Lindisfarne festival from August 31 - September 3 features bands Primal Scream and Pendulum and takes place at Beal Farm in Northumberland.

Fans were delighted by Jonnie plans as one said: “Sending you and your lovely family big hugs. Great you are living in the moment with them.”

A third penned: "Have a great time with your beautiful family. Look after yourself Jonnie, you are amazing."

Last year, the father of three revealed to the public that he is fighting lung cancer which has spread to his brain and does not know how long he has left.

But he is defying doctors’ predictions and continuing to live life with his wife Jessica and three young sons.

The A Place in the Sun legend recently sparked fears for his health after deciding to celebrate his 50th birthday eight months early.

Among the guests were co-star Jasmine Harman and ex-England cricketer Andrew Caddick.

Jonnie previously told The Sun: “It was a great night. I chose a playlist with some great tunes from the 90s and 2000s and people came from all over the country and abroad.

“I didn’t know the extent of the loyalty and generosity that my friends would exhibit. I’ve been dumbfounded and spellbound by their support, as well as that of our families, who have been amazing.

“I just wanted to do something to celebrate my birthday and had no idea how many people would actually turn up. It was incredible.”

His 50th birthday is not until November but Jonnie decided to celebrate it early with a huge bash with 170 friends and family
