FURIOUS Martin Lewis has hit out over a ‘verified’ fake Twitter account pretending to be him.
The account in question is promoting dodgy investments and has left the TV star less than impressed.
Martin, 50, took to social media and shared a look at the account, while writing: “So this FAKE ACCOUNT... promoting crypto has a blue tick? Lets see whether it is taken down when I report this impersonation.”
And it’s safe to say the account has since disappeared, with a message popping up saying ‘this account doesn’t exist.’
When it was active the account was verified and used a photo of Martin as the profile.
It read in the bio: "Newly founded Crypto Training Expert (CTE) for portfolio management, diversification and trading strategies - introducing a new crypto management system."

Martin’s followers were quick to share their thoughts underneath his post and encouraged Twitter to remove the fake account immediately.
It follows the news that moneyman Martin has bagged a regular co-hosting slot on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, alongside Susanna Reid.
The Money Saving Expert has joined the weekday breakfast show on Wednesdays across the year.
Speaking about his new role, Martin, 50, said: "To have the ability to hold politicians to account over the cost of living is a privilege and a responsibility.

"It's a slight gear change from my usual work, but after years of answering complex questions, it's nice for once to be asking them.
"So I was delighted when ITV offered me the role of regular presenter.
"The difficulty came with working it around my day job, as money saving expert, which is always my priority.
"So I'm hopeful the solution we've come up with, to lock in a dozen special shows a year, sitting alongside Susanna Reid's brilliant journalism, is one the show's viewers will welcome."
Martin’s first slot as co=host came on March 29 as he kicked off his regular presenting duties with a tax year end special on ITV1 and ITVX.
