Jeremy Clarkson left ‘pained and sleepless’ by ‘gut-wrenching’ loss at Diddly Squat farm

JEREMY Clarkson has been left 'pained and sleepless' after a 'gut-wrenching' loss at his Diddly Squat farm.

Sun columnist Jeremy, 62, is the proud owner of a farm in the Cotswolds that he works on when he's out of the limelight.

The former Top Gear host's Amazon Prime series Clarkson's Farm has documented the farming journey he began in 2021, with no prior experience.

Viewers previously saw how Jezza struggled when the time came to send some of his sheep to the slaughterhouse.

However, he's now also opened up about the 'gut-wrenching' decision to send away seven of his pigs.

"I can never sleep properly the night before they go, and all the way to the slaughterhouse I have what feels like a hot cricket ball in the pit of my stomach," he said in his latest column for The Times.

He continued: "And when it's finally time to say goodbye, I always become a little unmanly."

He added that he was "trying to be a farmer and that this is what farmers do".

But Jeremy made an effort to focus on the end result of the difficult process and said: "I know I will enjoy the bacon and ham and pork chops that result."

Series two of Clarkson's Farm launched in February.

Meanwhile, school-run parents are backing Jeremy Clarkson’s plans for a farm shop car park — to stop tourists from putting children at risk.

The Who Wants to Be A Millionaire presenter wants to turn a field into temporary parking for 70 cars.

Councillors refused his previous proposal, saying that it would have been visually intrusive.
