Derren Brown's Showman will air on Channel 4 next month

Now, Derren Brown is returning to Channel 4 for the first time in three years with Showman.

The production is his most recent interactive one-man live stage show, not to mention his most personal and emotional to date.

It centres on themes of how life’s difficulties bring us together, and living life attentively.

Half a million people were taken through the extraordinary journey of the show in theatres across the UK, and now it will be possible to experience it at home.

Derren’s live shows have had a home on Channel 4 for over 15 years – and the full collection of Derren’s works can be found on All 4.

On his return to Channel 4, Derren said: “Channel 4 have consistently allowed me the creative freedom to push boundaries and innovate as far as possible, so it’s a real joy to bring what I feel is my best show to date to Channel 4 audiences.”

On the success of the show, Derren added: “It’s had the best response of any show I’ve done.

"It’s lovely to know, and I’ve been very touched to read and hear people’s responses to it so far – it’s a very personal project and it’ll be wonderful to have it air on Channel 4, which has been my home for over two decades.”

Meanwhile, Derren is currently working on a new show, Unbelievable, which is coming later this year.

It is a magic show like no other, fusing the best of theatre, the music and energy of a New York street band, and the most jaw-dropping illusions ever seen on the West End stage.

Speaking further on Unbelievable, Derren said: “We have reimagined what a night of illusion could be.

"We have taken the love and experience we’ve put into my own shows over twenty years and created, from the ground up, a proper, original, theatrical experience.
