Dan Walker fans all say the same thing as new series Vanished kicks off on Channel 5
CHANNEL 5 fans were all left thoroughly impressed as Dan Walker kicked off his new four-part series on missing people.
The programme was created after Dan presented a live one-off programme based around the disappearance of Nicola Bulley.

In the new series, entitled Vanished, Dan showed a number of appeals from families of missing members of the public as they pleaded for information surrounding their mysterious disappearances.
Dan was joined by charity workers and members of the police force to discuss a number of the cases and look into some possible explanations behind their disappearances.
It also included a poignant interview with the mother of missing Claudia Lawrence, Joan, who spoke openly about the impact having a missing loved one has had on her life.
Despite fans praising the debut of the show, many were quick to highlight its comparison to the former BBC programme Crimewatch.

On Twitter, one fan wrote: “Bit macabre but used to love Crimewatch, this looks nearly as good! #Vanished @channel5_tv.”
Another echoed those thoughts, declaring: “This new channel 5 show, #Vanished with Dan Walker is giving me major Crimewatch vibes.”
As a third said: “This show should have been running since Crimewatch but it’s good it’s being done now! #vanished.”
Throughout the programme, it focused on four main cases and told the stories from their loved ones perspective as well as offering up the contact number should anybody have any enquiries.

Inspired to continue with the show following his special broadcast on Nicola Bulley, Dan remarked at the top of the programme: "The tragic case of Nicola Bulley highlighted the desperate situation that the families of missing persons find themselves in.
"It also showed us the importance of responsible journalism and brought into focus the public can play during a live investigation.
"We want Vanished to assist the police and also support the families and loved ones of some of the thousands of people who go missing every year."
Vanished, hosted by Dan Walker, continues next Thursday at 9pm on Channel 5.
