CHANNEL 4 is launching an exciting new thriller and it features a hugely popular star.
Outlander fans will be delighted to hear Scots hunk Sam Heughan is set to star in upcoming psychological drama The Couple Next Door.
The broadcaster's latest addition is produced by American streaming service Starz - the media giant behind Outlander.
The Dumfries-born actor is best known for playing Highland warrior Jamie Fraser in the fantasy series.
Fans were devastated when the 41-year-old announced the Scotland-based TV drama was recently scrapped.
But now gutted fans can look forward to getting their weekly fix.
As the actor teams up with another period drama icon - Poldark's Eleanor Tomlinson, playing the role of Evie.
Who, in the series, moves into a very posh neighbourhood with her husband.
She quickly begins an affair with hunky next-door neighbour Danny, played by Sam.
Sharing his excitement, the Scots star told the : "I’m thrilled to be working with Eagle Eye Drama and director Dries Vos again and adding a third series with my STARZ family.

Co-star Eleanor added: "Evie is an exciting challenge for me - a girl whose world is turned upside down as she navigates devastating trauma, which isn't helped by unresolved issues from her past.

The Couple Next Door is described as a "deliciously dark, psychological drama, exploring the stultifying claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your darkest desires".
