Coronation Street star ‘overwhelmed’ at reaction to acid attack episode
CORONATION Street star Charlotte Jordan breaks her silence after acid attack episode as fans praise her phenomenal acting.
Daisy Midgeley actress Charlotte Jordan took to Twitter to thank viewers of Coronation Street for their overwhelming support after airing horrifying acid attack scenes.
Daisy stalker storyline reached its epic conclusion in Monday night's episode.
Stalker Justin (Andrew Still) planned to throw corrosive acid at Daisy in a bid to stop her from marrying Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
However it seriously backfired when Ryan (Ryan Prescott) impulsively intervened to protect her.
Ryan fell to the floor screaming in agony as some of the acid began burning on his face and on Daisy’s skin.

She crawled over to Ryan who was rolling around the floor in agony and grabbed her phone to call an ambulance.
Daisy dragged him into the back and into the bathroom and put him in the shower, holding the constant flow of water over his wounds.
She ran into the kitchen and grabbed scissors to cut away Ryan’s melting shirt as he howls in pain and anguish.
In tense scenes, Daisy angrily told the police that she warned them about Justin and reported him several times, but nothing was done about it.

She later managed to persuade Justin to exit his car so the police could arrest him.
Actress Charlotte was flooded with praise for her sensational acting and realistic portrayal.
Taking to Twitter, the 27-year-old wrote: "Feel quite overwhelmed with all the messages about last nights @itvcorrie.
"So many people to thank for delivering episodes on such a sensitive and unfortunately, prevalent subject matter.
"It’s a real team effort but wanted to say thank you for watching, even when it’s hard. Xx"
After watching the distressing scenes, fans have demanded Charlotte to win a soap award this year.
One said: "Charlotte jordan needs her british soap award and she needs it NOW."
Another wrote: "The actors who play Daisy and Ryan need an award for that, I have never felt so traumatised after watching a soap in my life. Insane."
A third penned: "Best episode in a long time, amazing acting well written script, definitely should win a Soap Award for Daisy and Ryan Scenes. #Corrie."
Co-star and on-screen step mum Sally Ann Matthews took to Twitter to praise Charlotte's acting in the harrowing scenes.
"It’s not even biased to say my baby ChaCha was phenomenal tonight and Ryan broke my heart x @CharlieJordanxo #Corrie."
Corrie bosses teamed up with The Katie Piper Foundation and Acid Survivors Trust International to tell the story so they could “highlight the devastating impact and long-lasting effects of such heinous attacks".
Charlotte told the media how she first reacted when she found out about the conclusion of Daisy and Justin's storyline.
She revealed: “When I was first told about this storyline I thought a word I cannot say on camera: ‘Eff me that’s dark!’.
“I really didn’t see that coming, it’s not something you see a lot on television so I was really caught by surprise by it.

“There is a fear lurking in the back of Daisy’s mind since Justin was released on bail. She has always been thinking, ‘Will Justin retaliate in some way?’
“Seeing him again after he has been warned multiple times by officials to stay away from her, she is certainly scared of how he is going to react. I don’t think Daisy really thought about how obsessed Justin was going to become.”
