Shock proposal rocks Emmerdale as Home Farm is engulfed in chaos
TENSIONS arise in Home Farm next week when a big secret is finally revealed.
To make matters worse, one Emmerdale couple decide to take their relationship to the next level by getting engaged.
ITV viewers will remember that Gabby Thomas (portrayed by Rosie Bentham) admitted she was harbouring feelings for Nicky the Home Farm nanny (Lewis Cope).
After initially rejecting her in an attempt to keep his career unscathed, the newcomer revealed the attraction was mutual and the pair embarked on a secret romance.
But the truth caught up with them and, in scenes due to air next week, they reveal they're in a relationship to a seething Kim Tate (Claire King).
Bernice Blackstock and Laurel Thomas (played respectively by Samantha Giles and Charlotte Bellamy) question the lovebirds while Kim arrives with termination papers.

The ruthless businesswoman fires Nicky on the spot for breach of contract.
However, in a surprising attempt to prove his love to them all, Nicky gets down on one knee and proposes to Gabby on the spot.
He makes it clear to her he's been waiting for the right opportunity to pop the question and Gabby accepts.
Kim simmers and Gabby makes it ten times worse when she threatens to remove Thomas from her life, unless she agrees with her marriage to Nicky.

The young mother's love life has been at a standstill for several months, although she did have a fling with Kit, who happened to also be involved with her stepmother Laurel.
