Coronation Street spoilers — Fans slam show for ‘constant misery’ amid Ryan acid attack storyline – plus EastEnders news
CORONATION Street fans are struggling to handle to show's barrage of "miserable" storylines.
This comes as Paul Foreman - who is played by actor Peter Ash in the ITV soap - will soon discover he has motor neurone disease (MND) and the storyline will follow the terminal life-shortening illness.
The hit ITV show is also set to see Ryan come to terms with his life-long injuries after protecting Daisy Midgley from an acid attack and delve deeper into Amy's tragic rape storyline.
It all became too much for viewers who have hit out at the endless misery in Weatherfield as one wrote: "Literally can't deal with all this misery on Corrie, it's all negative."
A second said: "Tired of the constant depressing stuff." While another said: "I'm switching off. It's all just bad stuff."

In heartbreaking scenes, after learning the news, Lexi dug out her secret stash of coins and gave them to her mum in they hope the cash could prolong Lola's life.
Rushing to comment on the scene online, one fan wrote: "That scene was utterly heartbreaking!
"Lola trying to hold it together, Ben’s reaction when Lexi pulls out the pocket money she’s saved, Callum crying…"

Coronation Street has topped a list it probably wanted to avoid.
The legendary soap was named Britain's most-complained about soap, according to new data from .
In the two-year window, 1,927 complaints were made about Corrie - which is nearly double the amount made about Emmerdale during the same period.
Marcus Saxton, Chairman of the IBVTA and CEO of TECC, said: “We investigated British soaps to find out which received the highest number of Ofcom complaints, between 2020 and 2022, and found that Coronation Street was the most complained about TV soap.
"However, overall complaints about soaps only make up 1.42 per cent of all of the Ofcom complaints in recent years, and the majority haven’t received enough to even make the list, indicating that it’s a much less polarising format than other TV shows!”

Coronation Street’s upcoming scenes will see Ryan come to terms with his life-long injuries after protecting Daisy Midgley from an acid attack.
Speaking on This Morning, actor Ryan Prescott said the ITV soap would be focusing on Ryan’s recovery long into the future.
He explained: ”Acid attack survivors go through hundreds of operations, multiple skin grafts and quite often a lifetime of post-traumatic stress disorder. We want to show the different stages of his recovery.”

The Sun exclusively revealed how EastEnders bosses were looking for big name stars for the newcomers and they found it with the pair joined by Strictly Come Dancing finalist Molly Rainford and actress Francesca Henry as George’s daughters.
British actor Colin is best known for his role as MI6 deputy chief of staff Charles Robinson in three Bond films and will play “tough-talking and fiercely protective” father-of-two George.
The 60-year-old said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders to take on the role of George Knight.
“I’m excited to explore the character of George, a true East End gentleman, having been born in the East End myself.”
