Paddy will present the gruelling new programme as 12 strangers give up their luxuries to take on the toughest of terrains.

The 18-day-long trek will see the contestants face the temptations of home comforts.

However, if they give in, then the £300,000 joint cash prize will start to dwindle.

Temptations include a taxi to the next stop, a massage and hot shower, or a five-star bed for the night.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Paddy was returning to Channel 4 to present the new gameshow - the same station that launched his TV career.

The programme is set in the South African wilderness and was filmed last summer.

And in an exclusive first look at the very first episode - which will air on Sunday - the contestants are already feeling the temptation.

They all arrive at a diner in the middle of nowhere with a delicious greasy fast food menu.

Some of the dishes on offer include a beef burger for £1,000 and a portion of fries for £500.

But tensions start to rise as one contestant reveals she wants to buy a milkshake from the prize pot.

"If one person does it then everybody does it and then we've lost half the winnings," said another player.

But the team spirit appears to be dwindling as the contestant shouts back: "I want a milkshake!"
