Love Island’s Faye Winter breaks silence on ‘difficult’ split from Teddy Soares
LOVE Island star Faye Winter has opened up about her split from Teddy Soares - and said she has nothing but respect for her ex-boyfriend.
Faye, 27, and Teddy, 28, decided to end their 18-month relationship last month after crisis talks broke down and have since moved out of their £1m mansion.
The reality star said it's been "hard" not being able to reach out to Teddy when she's "struggling" - saying a break-up in the public eye can be tough.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Faye said: "It's hard because I went into Love Island to purely find someone and I said anything on top of that was an added bonus.
"Obviously it's hard, it's always going to be hard. I've never been in a situation where I've been in relationship in the public eye and I've had to go through a break-up in the public eye.
"So obviously it's been hard and everything that's been hard in my life post-Love Island, I've always had Teddy there to help me deal with it and visa versa, I've always helped him.

"So I think that's the hardest part because I can't just ring him and be like 'I'm struggling'.
"That's the hardship of it because its always been us.
"But at the same time, I'm no longer part of Feddy - this is just Faye and that's always going to be difficult."
The newly-single star said she is now focusing on herself and is avoiding the dating scene for the time being.

"I'm not concentrating on this part of my life, I'm not looking for a relationship" Faye told us.
"I'm not one of those girls that's been on a mad party holiday, it's not really in me.
"I'm just concentrating on me and trying to make me the best version of myself."
Faye went onto praise Teddy for his role in SAS: Who Dares Wins, saying she was proud of him for landing a spot on the Channel 4 show.
The TV favourite said: "When you live with somebody it's hard to be apart from him but I was really proud of him.
"I was at home bringing up Bonnie, I supported him going away - I dropped him to the airport and picked him up everytime.
"I was really proud of everything he was doing and everything he was trying to achieve.
"I didn't even think of it as being hard - the hard bit for me was where we lived, I didn't have a support network.
"So I didn't have my friends and family with me - I'm a very friends and family girl and with Bonnie being so little I couldn't leave.
"But it wasn't hard as I spoke to him most days and I just wanted him to follow his dreams."
The pair moved into a sprawling home in 2021, but have since moved into their own homes and moved their stuff out.
The Devon beauty said she has since returned home and admitted moving out of the property had it's pros and cons.
Speaking about her big move, she said: "It was a lovely home but it was a big house - we didn't need that much space.
"Lovely to live in a nice area but I always say home is where your heart is and it felt like home because I was there with Teddy.
"Obviously when our relationship broke down, it wasn't then hard to leave. I was onto the next chapter.
"We got to split the furniture as we bought it - it was very easy as what we had paid for, we just had.
"I'm going to try and make it work in Devon as its my happy place, this is where I know and where I love and where I'm most confident."
Faye admitted that she has no idea if she and Teddy would ever reconcile - saying she doesn't like to "predict the future" and is currently very busy with her property and campaign work.
"With our lives and everybody's lives, who can tell what the future is going to hold, especially being in this new limelight," she explained.
"If somebody said to me two years ago, where do you see yourself in two years? I never would have said here.
"I don't like to try and predict the future - for me I don't think about it like that. I just live each day and take everything that I've got and I'm so grateful for it.
"I just try and live each day as it comes."
The TV favourite - who become the face of Name A Puppy campaign with Guide Dogs on Thursday - is also the proud dog mum of golden retriever Bonnie.
Faye said the adorable pooch now lives with her but she and Bonnie would always welcome a visit from Teddy.
"If Teddy ever wants to see Bonnie he is more than welcome, that's not a problem," she went on.
"If he ever wanted to or ever reached out then of course he could definitely see her."
The couple first met on Love Island in 2021 but by the beginning of last year, the relationship had hit a rocky patch which they were unable to recover from.
Teddy fought back tears recently while packing up his final belongings from the home he shared with Faye.
He shared a candid post and said: “I’m here at the house though. I have actually been tearing up which is why my eyes are the way they are, all red.
“It’s an empty shell and it was always going to be quite emotional being back here. I’m trying to pack some stuff up. I am distracted by the fact that it’s International Women’s Day and I’m hugely appreciative of the women I have in my life.”
They were living apart as they took time to work on their issues.
