BBC Breakfast chaos as weather report live from location repeatedly interrupted by locals

BBC Breakfast almost descended into chaos as a live on-location weather report featured a series of interruptions.

BBC weather star Sarah Keith Lucas was reporting live from Wadhurst where she enjoyed a chat with one of the local residents but for the reporter, things did not go quite exactly to plan.

The 41-year-old TV star was live in the East Sussex town after it was named as the best place to live in the UK by The Sunday Times.

She chatted to Heather Woodward, the Chairman of the local history group about what she made of the news before diving into the weather live from the area.

When Heather began to speak to the BBC host, a number of schoolchildren making their way to class could be seen flailing in the background as they tried to get themselves onto the TV.

They were seen in shot in between the two women as they looked over the moon at the chance to have their faces on breakfast TV.

Soon after, the camera panned closer to Heather's face but a bin lorry decided to stop right by her and do a collection.

While insisting it was a "lovely place to live", the bin men began to walk around on the path as a double decker bus screeched as it pulled up behind the bin lorry.

The noises were unavoidable as chaos began to mount.

It left telly watchers in hysterics at home as they took to Twitter to admit they found Sarah's report funny.

Finding it absolutely hilarious, one fan penned: "Absolutely p***ing myself at the live broadcast from Wadhurst (voted best place to live) RIGHT IN THE MIDST of waste collection, school run, general pandemonium."

Another added: "This interview in Wadhurst is going to end up in an outtakes programme #BBCBreakfast".

As a third said: "F***ing hilarious… bin men buses school kids all attempting to muscle in to tv, you can stick dull provincial Wadhurst."

Studio host Naga Munchetty, 48, could also not avoid the chaos as she remarked: "We see Sarah's picture without her graphics on. It was so busy. There were refuse collectors, school children, people going to work."
