David Attenborough’s BBC show Wild Isles shocks viewers with no holds barred animal sex scenes

SIR David Attenborough’s latest nature show has shocked viewers — with its no holds barred romps.

Scores complained of being put off their food by well-endowed slugs getting steamy in the Beeb’s Brit-based Wild Isles.

The sight of female adders dragging around males by their genitals also raised eyebrows on Sunday.

Series’ producer Chris Howard said: “The adders sequence is pretty full-on, I have to say.

“Most animal behaviour stories are eating or having sex.

"It is inevitable we have to go there.”

Ironically, the rise in creepy crawly rumpy pumpy stems from the UK’s lack of large predators.

Chris added: “It turns out the sex sequences are coming to the fore a bit more in this series because we have slightly less of the domestic hunting.”

Viewers, however, were shocked by slug scenes that Sir David likened to a “magical pendulum of love”.

One tweeted: “Who the hell wants to watch slug porn on a Sunday night?”
