Danielle Harold's upcoming exit was teased in 2022 and BBC One viewers have since been waiting for a precise date to be revealed.

Yet after a cryptic post shared on , fans believe she'll soon be bowing out.

On Wednesday (March 22, 2023), the 30-year-old posted a selfie alongside her co-stars Emma Barton, Perry Fenwick and Jamie Borthwick, known to respectively portray Honey Mitchell, Billy Mitchell and her on-screen husband Jay Brown.

The four actors are grouped outside No.1 Albert Square, sharing a cheerful moment.

But fans were struck by a minor detail in the shot as Emma Barton can clearly be seen sporting funeral attire, much like Perry Fenwick who slipped into a black suit.

Danielle Harold's followers immediately jumped to the comments, suspecting Lola's last scenes have been filmed.

"Lola’s funeral scenes?", one of them questioned while another added: "Nooooo does this mean your ending has been filmed? That's going to be a hard one."

A third soap fan questioned: "Are you leaving the show for bigger and better? Why do you have to die?"

"It was in the papers that she will pass before Christmas. So I am guessing this is her final one", another chimed in.

But while many believed Lola's swan song was just waiting to be aired, other fans of the London-based drama noticed a Christmas wreath on the door of No.1 behind all four stars.

Most of these viewers believe the shot could be on the day Dot Cotton's funeral was filmed, in honour of late actress June Brown.

"Throw back pic I’d say Dots funeral back in December", one wrote as another agreed: "Guys it’s not Lola’s death they’ve filmed here it’s from Dot's funeral I think. There’s a wreath on the door in the background."

One fan came up with their own theory - could soap bosses have another flashforward in store?

"Must be another flash forward, as there is a Christmas wreath on the front door", they penned.

Lola's death was confirmed in an explosive flash-forward scene teasing a murder mystery for Christmas 2023.

The whodunnit will involve six of Walford's most beloved ladies - Linda Carter, Sharon Watts, Suki Panesar, Denise Fox and Stacey Slater.

But how will Lola's death play out on our screens?
