FOUR in a Bed viewers witnessed the hosts' disappointment after they failed to impress their fellow contestants.
During the second instalment of this week’s show that airs on Channel 4, competing hotel owners traveled to Congleton in Cheshire to stay at the The Lion and Swan.
The accommodation is run by best friends Kate and Jess and has 21 rooms priced up to £165 for the night.
The pair believed it is “value for money” and were hopeful their guests would agree while staying with them.
At the end of the episode, as they reflected on the feedback, Kate and Jess, were left disappointed. At one point Jess appeared to grind her teeth in reaction to the feedback.
Competing couple Angie and Andrew marked them high for breakfast, giving them an eight out of a possible 10. With the hosts agree it was a “good score.”

The feedback was “Good breakfast but without the 'wow factor.’” Jess reacted with: “We do really pride ourselves on the breakfast that we offer… I think Angie and Andrew will definitely stay again.”
However, she was a little too optimistic, as the answer was “no.” Again, the hosts agreed that it was “disappointing.”
Things took a turn for the better when their next guests, Emily and Emma gave then a 10 out of 10 for their breakfast. Which Kate and Jess dubbed as “amazing.”
Although they lost some marks on the cleanliness, with the complaint that there were "a few marks/stains on the bedspread.”

Additional complaints included that the back of the bath screen was unattractive and that the room didn’t have a kettle.
Defending her hotel, Jess said: “We have the coffee machines which we see as a bit of a luxury in there…And you know if guests do ring down and they would like a kettle, we have them on sight and we can provide one.”
It was then revealed that the second set of guests also opted not to stay there again.
At this point, the hosts couldn’t hide their annoyance.
Referring to the element of the show where the competing guests decide how much they believe a stay is actually worth, Jess concluded: “It'll be interesting to see how that payment's reflected on payment day.”
Four in a Bed airs weekdays from 5pm on Channel 4.
