EastEnders legend looks very different as he shows off bold new transformation – can you guess who it is?
EASTENDERS star Todd Carty has traded in his time as the cleancut market stall holder and is now completely unrecognisable for a new role.
The actor is best known to soap fans as Mark Fowler, spending 13 years on the series as the owner of the fruit and veg stand before exiting in 2003.
But now he's completely transformed for his new role in , growing a handlebar moustache especially for the occasion.
Celebrating the Agatha Christie show's 70th anniversary, Carty will be travelling across the country to appear in the iconic whodunnit as Major Metcalf.
The Major is one of the eight leading players of the murder mystery, as a group of elite members of society are snowed into Berkshire's Monkswell Manor when a murder takes place.
In order to take on the appearance of someone who has retired from the army, Carty is well-dressed in a three-piece suit, calling back to the days of the early '50s when the show takes place.

Starring alongside Only Fools and Horses's Gwyneth Strong, the actor is scheduled to remain in the role through to May 6th.
The actor is almost unrecognisable from his days on Eastenders, where he played the long-suffering son of Pauline and Arthur Fowler, Mark.
Mark was one of the original characters on the show, but was first played by David Scarboro between 1985 and 1987.
When the team decided to bring Mark back, they recast Carty in the role after Scarboro's death in 1988.

Carty would later go on to star in some of the show's most hard-hitting storylines, including a groundbreaking story arc about living with HIV and AIDS.
Eventually he left the show on Valentine's Day 2003 after it was discovered his body was no longer responding to treatment from the virus.
It was confirmed over a year later by brother Martin he had died off-screen after complications.
