Why is A Place in the Sun not on TV today?

A Place In The Sun will not air today (March 21) on Channel 4.

The property show, which features Laura Hamilton and Jasmine Harman, has been pulled from schedules and replaced by a new TV show called Tool Club.

Tool Club follows a team of four as they take on DIY projects that have gone wrong.

Hosted by Kevin Duala, the DIY experts working alongside are Jessica Grizzle, Julia Miller-Osborn and Mac McMurdo.

The programme corrects both big and small-scale mistakes and also provides viewers with helpful hints and hacks.

The first episode premiered on Monday, March 20, and the remaining 14 episodes will be broadcast each weekday at 3 pm.

When will A Place in the Sun return?

It's not yet been confirmed whether A Place in the Sun will return to Channel 4 after Tool Club has aired, or if another show will temporarily take its place.

Fans of the show were disappointed with the change and took to Twitter to vent their frustration, with one writing: "Omg where is A Place in the Sun!?"

Another complained: "Why have you removed A Place in the Sun? That was probably the only show I still bothered watching. Ergh."

However, it's not all bad news for A Place in the Sun fans as there is a new spin-off show, A New Life in the Sun which airs today (March 21) at 4 pm.

The new show follows British expats as they head for warmer climates and build new lives and businesses around the world.
