Daytime TV chef declared bankrupt after lawyers spend decade chasing huge debt

TELLY cook Rustie Lee has been declared bankrupt after lawyers spent nearly a decade chasing her over a £75,000 debt.

Investigators found she withdrew money from a company she ran with her husband shortly before it went bust in 2013.

A statutory demand for £75,750 was made to Lee, 73, who rose to fame on TV-am in the 1980s.

Proceedings concluded at Brighton crown court last month with her being made bankrupt.

Her husband Andreas Hohmann faces proceedings for a similar amount.

A source said: “Her assets can be sold to raise the money, but we are led to believe she doesn’t have any.”
