I made it to The Apprentice’s horror interviews – but the BBC don’t even show the worst part
FIRED The Apprentice candidate Dani Donovan has revealed the toughest part of the daunting interview stage - and it is not what you might think!
The 25 year old successfully made it through to the final five, which consisted entirely of all women for the second year running.
Now Dani has admitted that facing the tough business icons in the interviews, which included Lord Sugar's right-hand woman Karren Brady, was not even the most challenging part of the day.
Speaking to The Sun and other press, Dani said: "The day felt like it went on forever!
"It was all of the anticipation, all of the build-up - I think that was actually worse than the actual interviews themselves because in those interviews you are talking about something you know and love, you are talking about your business.
"You think it would be talking to the interviewers that would be the worst thing but for me it was that awkward walk through a huge empty room while they just sit and stare at you - I thought that was the worst part!"

Among those Dani and the fellow remaining candidates had to face were long-time star of the show Claude Litner, fan favourite Linda Plant, Mike Soutar and Baroness Brady.
During the episode, the ladies took it in turns to see their business plans face a grilling from the titans as they were quick to highlight the mistakes featured within them.
Dani faced a particularly tough time when it came to her face-off with Linda who shrugged her business off as 'fantasy' due to its focus being on the fictional creature of mermaids.
Linda took a savage swipe at the business hopeful for focusing her offering on a mythical creature that wasn't real and was quick to liken the make-believe of mermaids to that of Dani's future business goals.

However, Dani, who has owned her business named Mermane Hair Extensions since she was 19, managed to shrug it off despite admitting that Linda was the most intense to face.
Chatting about the grilling, she admitted: "In terms of the toughest, I think I'd have to say Linda because, I mean, I can talk for England but with her you just cannot get a word in edgeways to defend yourself.
"Linda is scary because she is so feisty and she just goes through and reels off all of this stuff and you kind of don't even have a moment to answer back and defend yourself so I definitely found her the most intimidating.
"However, you just have to shrug it off, I came out of the interview with Linda and I was laughing as I just thought it was so bad, it's laughable and if you don't laugh, you'll cry.
"She gave us a good grilling, but that is what she is there to do. Lord Sugar is tough but I think he was very very fair."
Dani also addressed The Sun's story that she had been lined up to appear on Love Island and confirmed she had been approached a number of years ago but admitted that it would not interest her nowadays as she is happily settled with her partner.
Lord Sugar ultimate fired Dani, Megan Hornby and Victoria Goulbourne leaving just Marnie Swindells and Rochelle Raye Anthony to battle it out for the life-changing £250,000 investment.
The Apprentice final episode will air on Thursday 23rd March on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
