First look as The Crown recreates Prince Williams’ arrival at St Andrews University
PRINCE William looks like he’s showing his dad the ropes as he arrives at university in the next series of The Crown.
Actor Ed McVey, who plays William, and Dominic West, who stars as King Charles, wore identical outfits to their real life counterparts on set at the campus in Scotland.
Prince William, 40, arrived at the prestigious university in September 2001 to study Geography and was accompanied by his dad on his first day.
He was photographed greeting hundreds of well-wishers who had lined the streets to welcome him to the University town.
William studied at St Andrews for three years and during his time there met his wife Kate Middleton, who read Art History.
Initially William was studying the same subject but later changed to Geography and graduated in 2005 with a 2:1.
