CORONATION Street's Colson Smith has left fans open-mouthed with a new pic of his 10st weight loss.

The soap actor, 24, shot to fame when he first appeared on the long-running ITV show in 2011.

He plays the role of Craig Tinker, who is the local police officer on the cobbles.

But over the years his look has dramatically changed as Colson shed the pounds.

He's recently hit a huge milestone as he has now lost a whopping 10 stone.

And while Colson takes a break away from playing Craig and enjoys the sunshine in Palma, he's shared another weight loss update.

In a video posted to Instagram he can be seen putting on his runners as he donned his workout gear and headed on a run.

Previously, Colson admitted he was self-harming with food after being abused for his weight by viewers at just 11 years old.

Colson told The Sun how he was faced with abuse for his weight by soap fans.

He said: “At 11 years old I had a Twitter account.

“You log in, you search your name, you search ‘Craig Corrie’ and you’re looking to see what people are saying about your character or your acting, and all they’re saying is about your weight and the way you look. 

“I was being branded as just the fat kid from day one. Even at school I was always the fat kid, I was always the odd one out.”

Lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic led Colson to overhaul his lifestyle which kickstarted his weight loss journey.

He previously told ITV's Loose Women: "I was lucky with timing.

"Lockdown was the first time I didn't have a job and I thought, 'What's important to me?'

"I realised Colson is important to me."
