LOVE-SPLIT actress Amy Nuttall is hoping for a slot on Strictly Come Dancing to help mend her heartbreak.
The Sun can reveal the 40-year-old mum is in talks with the BBC just weeks after her husband, actor Andrew Buchan, walked out.
He is now living with BBC One Better co-star Leila Farzad, 40.
Downton Abbey and Emmerdale star Amy believes the dance contest could give her “the fresh start she needs”.
She is understood to have been inspired by presenter Helen Skelton, who competed last year after her marriage ended.
A source said: “Amy has been left broken by Andrew’s actions and feels humiliated by the whole ordeal.

"She wants to move on and not let the messy break-up define her.
“Strictly would be the perfect way for her to do that and hopefully restore the confidence she is lacking right now.”
The move comes after Andrew, 44 — her husband of 11 years — suggested a three-way summit to help “clear the air” between himself, Amy and Leila.
The source said: “It’s not clear if everyone involved is up for it as emotions are very raw.
