The Apprentice viewers slam show in sexism row after final five are revealed

BBC’s The Apprentice has been caught up in a sexism row after the last five contestants of the series were revealed.

Simba Rwambiwa’s sacking means there will be an all-female final next week, which hasn’t gone down well with some viewers.

Making it through to the final are Dani Donovan, Marnie Swindells, Megan Hornby, Rochelle Anthony and Victoria Goulbourne.

News of the last man in the group to be ousted by Sir Alan Sugar was met with criticism from fans, who accused The Apprentice of being “woke” and “sexist”.

Taking to Twitter one viewer wrote: “So... I guess seeing as #TheApprentice is an all women final, that it's ok for men to say the show is sexist? Cos it would have been called that if it was an all male final.”

“Utter joke and sexist woke agenda,” added another disgruntled fan of the show.

While a third person slammed: “Now that Karen Brady has put the boot into yet another male contestant and ensured an all-female final 5, in #TheApprentice, she can relax.

“Is firing Simba for 'not being listened to' better than firing Dani, who doesn't listen to others AND messed up? The program SEEMS sexist.”

“Alan Sugar yet again purposely firing all the men with his woke nonsense. Used to love watching this show,” added another unhappy watcher.

Many viewers pointed out that the all-female line-up means there won’t have been a man in the final since 2017 when Sarah Lynn and James White shared the win.

One tweeted: “Hmm.. do the numbers in the final five of #TheApprentice in recent years reflect women in business, the BBC's woke agenda, or just what looks good on TV!?”

In Thursday night’s episode Simba was sacked after a disappointing week that saw his team tasked with creating a unique new dog food,

While both groups left the big bosses unimpressed, it was Simba, Megan and Dani who found themselves in the firing line.

With Simba getting sacked with Sir Alan telling him, “you're the kind of person people ignore."
