The episode was repeated recently, bringing even more attention to his property, but John admits he almost didn't take part.

He said: "When Channel 4 asked us to do it we didn't do it initially. We didn’t want to.

“But then they asked us again and we did an interview with them and I said that I would only do it on a Thursday night.”

However, Four in a Bed bosses told John they couldn't guarantee that.

He continued to : "I said, ‘Well, on a Thursday night, it’s our bike night,’

“’Our car park is full of motorbikes, and this is what we're about.’”

He also said he would have live music on the night to create an atmosphere.

He said: "I told them ‘If you want to film on that night I'll put a band on or two and then you'll get a true reflection of what we're about'.

“’Obviously, I don't want you to come on a Monday,’ I said. ‘We’re all just sat around doing nothing'."

In the end, bosses agreed and John agreed to take part.

Four in a Bed airs weekdays at 5pm on Channel 4.
