Gogglebox star reveals surprise weight gain as he returns to the show

GOGGLEBOX star Stephen Webb has confessed to gaining weight while his hubby Daniel Lustig was on holiday.

Stephen and Daniel returned to the Channel 4 show on Friday having missed the first episode of the new series last week.

The pair skipped the show as Daniel was on holiday in Dubai - and Stephen has now spilled the beans on what went on while he was away.

Stephen proudly told his hubby: "I've eaten really clean all week.

"I've had mixed seeds, mixed nuts, mixed berries overnight oats. A little bit of honey. Just a little bit, because you need sugar.

"And for lunch I've been having chicken salad. Now, I ate that, I ate like a mouse all last week.

"I went to three spin classes, two PT sessions, I went up the road to weigh myself on those scales..."

Daniel chipped in: "Fat club?"

Stephen then replied: "Yeah, and I've put on 2lbs. How is that possible?!"

Daniel laughed hysterically at his husband's honest and surprise admission.

Gogglebox returned for its 21st series last Friday but Stephen and Daniel were missing from the lineup.

Stephen later confirmed: "He’s home just in time for #gogglebox we are not on this week as Daniel's been away sunning himself in Dubai."

As a result, fans were delighted to welcome the couple back to their screens on Friday night.

"Missed you last week..!" one tweeted.

Another added: "LOVE you guys ya really do make my Friday night."

Stephen has been a regular on Gogglebox since it first hit our screens in 2013.

He appeared on the show alongside his ex Christopher Steed.

Then, in 2019, Daniel showed his face on the sofa for the first time.
