The competition was tough but in the end one of the hopeful chefs was announced as the winner

The contestants will be under the eyes of the panel across three floors as they battle it out to produce the best dish to avoid elimination.

Ultimately, there can only be one winner.

Last night Gordon Ramsay crowned the winner of Next Level Chef, but viewers were left divided.

Jade Greenhalgh, a social media chef, won Gordon Ramsay’s difficult reality cooking competition.

The 34-year-old food influencer from Lancashire, who astonished Gordon and the other two judges, Next Level Chef USA star Nyesha Arrington and MasterChef’s Paul Ainsworth, won £100k cash prize and a year of mentoring.

Some people thought Callum should have won instead, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “Wanted Callum to win, he deserved it!”

Another penned: “Callum was ROBBED!”

A third added: “Amazing series, thoroughly enjoyed. Well done Jade worthy winner.”

A fourth said: “Trying not to give spoilers but I could tell who was going to win Next Level Chef UK quite early on because of the editing of the program. Happy for the winner but disappointed I wasn’t surprised.”

Next Level Chef is available to watch on ITVX
