Emmerdale fans are asking soap bosses to push her towards another resident, insisting she needs a new partner in her life.

After battling for her life due to a cocaine overdose, the beloved character portrayed by Roxy Shahidi was dealt another blow when her husband Dr Liam Cavanagh decided to call time on their marriage.
The romance had been on the rocks for a while but it was Leyla's return from rehab that seemed to seal the deal.
Since then, Leyla has been picking herself back up, ready for a fresh start.
But new beginnings often come hand in hand with some awkward moments and she was recently seen trying to kiss Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) who had offered her some support.

Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) found out what had happened and, although she learned to trust Jai throughout her own relationship torment, she demanded that he stopped being the person Leyla turned to for help.
A lonely Leyla was soon approached by Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) and the latter suggested they watched a film together to take her mind off of things.
ITV viewers were left heartbroken for Leyla when she was shown spending some of the Christmas period alone but according to them, Suzy could be the one to drag her out of the dark.
"Just put Suzy and Leyla together already";, one of them begged on social media while another agreed: "I still ship Suzy and Leyla".

Prior to these demands, Suzy and Leyla shared a cocaine addiction but the former decided the lifestyle was becoming too dangerous for her.

This was also due to her relationship with Vanessa Woodfield who recently left the eponymous village as actress Michelle Harding went on maternity leave off-screen.
While some fans are eager for Leyla and Suzy to act on their budding chemistry, others have been asking for a reunion between Vanessa and former fiancée Charity Dingle, who is still involved with her own cheating partner, Mackenzie Boyd.
Will it all ever come to a head?
Before viewers can find out, spoilers have confirmed that Leyla and Suzy will be involved in a new danger-filled storyline.
