Danniella Westbrook reveals ‘real reason’ she didn’t return to EastEnders in explosive tell-all book
DANNIELLA Westbrook is set to reveal the real reason why she didn’t return to EastEnders in an explosive new book.
The 49-year-old actress first appeared as Sam Mitchell in July of 1990 before departing and returning several times due to her tumultuous personal life.
Last year it was announced that Kim Medcalf would be taking over the role for good – leaving Danniella fuming.
And she now plans to spill the beans on the situation for the first time.
She told the "It will include all of my Dancing On Ice stuff, my last time at EastEnders, basically everything from the last 13 years so.

"There are some real home truths in there."
Kim originally took on the role of Sam Mitchell between 2002 and 2005, before being asked back again.
At the time Danniella made no secret of the fact she wasn't happy that the BBC soap didn't approach her about returning.

She shared at the time: "Wishing Kym the best of luck at @BBCEastenders__ yet again this poor woman has to recreate a Samantha Mitchell as close to my last two recent come backs on the square go smash it darling..x oh but not to @bbceastenders my legal team will be in touch."
The star later insisted she would never return to the BBC soap – or any other for that matter.
"I don't want to go back to the soap,” she said.
"I wouldn't go back to a soap if any of the soaps asked me and offered me a job. I wouldn't take it today, [as it] is not where I want to be.
“Not that I'm better than working on a soap. I'm not - I've just had that period in my life, I've gone into a new chapter".
