The final episode which airs on BBC One on Sunday, will include both tragic and touching scenes.

The big day for Matthew Aylward and Trixie Franklin (played by Helen George and Olly Rix) has been eagerly anticipated by fans.

The season finale will centre on the wedding of the year, and Trixie's brother Geoffrey will pay a visit.

Sister Veronica (Rebecca Gethings) is tasked with sorting wedding gifts while he plans her hen party.

The actors Olly Rix and Helen George shared some behind-the-scenes information about filming the extravagant event.

Both actors opened up about their co-star Megan Cusack's accident on the shoot.

"Megan got pizza all down her bridesmaid's dress," Helen revealed.

Olly then intervened to express how Megan's mishap with the dress was a concerning issue on set.

"That was the most stressful part of the day, Megan got pizza down the front of her bridesmaid's dress between takes," he said.

The actor added: "That was a heart-stopping moment for real."

In season 10, Megan joined the Call the Midwife cast as the aspiring nurse who attracted attention with her colourful attire.

Call the Midwife airs on BBC One on Sunday at 8pm.
