Emmerdale spoilers: Dawn Taylor shocked by bombshell return
DAWN Taylor has been kept at arm's length from the drama unfolding in the Dales.
But she's thrown to see a familiar face returning to Emmerdale next week.
The village secretary played by Olivia Bromley has been balancing her family life with a fresh start at the vet surgery, months after Harriet Finch's death.
However, in scenes due to air on ITV next week, Dawn is utterly thrown to see her former partner Alex Moore (Liam Boyle) make another appearance after being intimidated by Kim Tate and William Taylor.
To make matters worse, Alex is becoming romantically involved with another resident of the eponymous village - Naomi Walters (Karene Peter).
The latter decided to end her relationship with Nate Robinson and will be seen flirting with the troublesome Alex outside the Main Street café.

This won't be a coincidence as Naomi arranges a drink with Alex herself, oblivious to the hassle she's getting herself into.
Her father Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) is as thrown as Dawn to see her and Alex on a date and becomes concerned for her.
As mentioned above, Alex tried to turn Dawn's life into a nightmare by blackmailing her.
Dawn and her husband Billy Fletcher faced potential homelessness when the money from Harriet's will wasn't enough for them to keep their house.

To make matters worse, Alex said he'd take his daughter Clemmie away if he didn't get his hands on Harriet's money.
As mentioned above, Kim and Will soon got involved to protect their family, unbeknownst to Dawn.
The duo kept Alex hostage and viewers were in for a violent storyline as Will beat him to a pulp to scare him off.

As for Naomi, the newcomer dodged time in prison in recent months following Nicola King's brutal mugging.
The reformed character has since focused on building a bond with her long-lost family and even forgave Nate for being unfaithful to her.
