Huge Baftas blunder sees wrong winner announced – but it’s erased from TV footage
A HUGE blunder at The Bafta Awards saw the wrong winner announced tonight.
American actor Troy Kotsur took to the stage early on in the awards ceremony to announce the winner of the Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Troy, 54, who has been deaf since birth, was joined on stage by his interpreter to reveal the winner.
However, a huge blunder saw the wrong winner announced to the audience in an awkward turn of events.
Rather than reading out Kerry Condon as the victor, the interpreter wrongly said the gong belonged to Carey Mulligan.
While Troy signed Kerry to his interpreter, the wrong name was read out to the celebrity audience.

The BBC cut the moment out of footage shown to fans at home, as the announcer quickly rectified the mistake.
A source backstage told The Sun: “Troy signed the name correctly but his interpreter got it slightly wrong.
“Accidents do happen and it was a genuine mistake which was quickly cleared up.”
Kerry, 40, picked up the gong for her part as Siobhán Súilleabháin in the Banshees Of Inisherin.

After The Banshees Of Inisherin actress left the stage, host Richard E Grant joked: "A defibrillator is needed for Carey Mulligan."
It was the first big awards bash blunder since the 2017 Oscars, when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway wrongly announced La La Land as the Best Picture winner.
Taking to the stage, Condon paid tribute to director Martin McDonagh, adding: “Thank you for all the parts you gave me throughout my career.
"You make me so proud to be an Irish woman.”
But backstage, the actress appeared to be in complete shock.
She explained: "The whole thing was this blackout weird moment, all I remember seeing is all the boys looking at me, it was really surreal.
"When you get up there let me tell you, you don't know what's going on."
