Alison Hammond awkwardly ‘shamed’ by BAFTA co-host Richard E Grant after making massive blunder
ALISON Hammond has been "shamed" by movie legend Richard E Grant after she made a huge faux pas to his face.
The This Morning star, 48, will be co-hosting this year's EE Baftas alongside Richard on Sunday night after being given the coveted gig.
But before taking to the stage alongside the TV presenter at London's Royal Festival Hall in London, he has let slip an embarrassing blunder she once made.
During an appearance on The One Show, 65-year-old Richard revealed that Alison completely forgot she had met him previously.
He spilled the beans when host Emma Willis asked if he had ever encountered the former Big Brother star before.
Richard said: "I did, because I was on the show that she's on - on another channel, in the morning!

"And so when we met, I said, 'Alison, we met before'. She came up to me and said, 'We've never met before'. And I said, 'Yes we have' and I gave her the date.
"And she...she was shamed!"
Emma burst out laughing as her co-host Jermaine Jenas quipped: "Yeah, that's a low point!"
Alison, who found fame in the 2002 series of Big Brother, was announced as a surprise host of the EE British Academy Film Awards last month.
She will co-host part of the ceremony with Richard, before moving to a backstage studio in the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall to interview the winners.
Chatting about landing the gig, Brummy Alison previously said: “I'm so excited to be hosting at this year's EE BAFTA Film Awards with THE Richard E. Grant.
“We're going to have a lot of fun bringing the glitz and glam of backstage to everyone watching at home around the world.
“From hanging out with the stars to celebrating the biggest night for cinema, and joining the discussions with film fans, get ready for good vibes only!”
The British Academy Film Awards will air at 7pm on BBC One this Sunday February 19
