Jeremy, who shot to fame on the programme in 1995, said he was “blessed” to be surrounded by his wife Lydia and his two children Scarlett and son Theodore on this special day.

He wrote: “It’s my birthday tomorrow. I will be 52. FIFTY TWO!!! How did that happen?

“It was the 90’s just a second ago! I’m blessed in that I have an amazing wife and 2 beautiful kids but still……52!!!”

Jeremy’s fans could not believe the actor was in his 50s – with many insisting he looks years younger.

One wrote: “Happy Birthday you gorgeous man – with the looks of a 40-something and the giggles of a teen, no one would ever guess.”

Another posted: “You don’t look 52, scary how time flies by though.”

A third echoed: “Mate you look early 40’s. Time is being very kind to you,” while someone else gushed: “Wow Jeremy you honestly don’t look your age… I’d knock 10 years off.”

The TV star welcomed his second child last year following a “stressful” two-and-a-half-year IVF journey.

But Jeremy confessed they won’t be having any more babies, saying that he “feels quite old”.

When asked if the couple are planning to have any more children, he said: “It could be done so we had room for more, but I feel quite old and I am feeling it.

“With Scarlett it’s a very easy life because I can talk to her and play with her. But starting again with a baby is hard work, so the idea of doing it again after this.”

The TV star added : “It was a long road with the IVF, all the trying, the traumatic birth and then IVF again. Now we have our little boy I feel we’re settled.

“Hitting 50 with a baby on the way, I did think, ‘Oh my God!’ But they’ll keep me young.”

Jeremy, who married Lydia in 2009, explained that their IVF treatment was delayed due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, which caused clinics to shut nationwide.

Jeremy is best known for playing hunky Kurt in Hollyoaks and later, Danny Shaughnessy on Holby City from 1999 to 2003.

Other shows that followed soon after included Celebrity Big Brother, Lily Savage’s Blankety Blank, and, of course, his portrayal of Fraser in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale on February 12, 2008.

In 2019 he joined forces with pal Brendan Cole to appear on a celebrity instalment of the X Factor.
