Love Island viewers gobsmacked as Casa Amor recouplings revealed in brutal ceremony

LOVE Island viewers were left gobsmacked this evening following a brutal recoupling ceremony after Casa Amor week.

Over the last few days some of the show’s most solid couples have really been put to the test – and tonight we finally saw who decided to stick or recouple.

The biggest shock of the night came as Tanya returned with Martin on her arm – leaving Shaq heartbroken and single.

The couples after Casa Amor are Casey and Claudia, Kai and Sanam, Olivia and Maxwell, Ron and Lana, Tom and Samie, Will and Jessie and Tanya and Martin.

Those watching at home couldn't get over the explosive episode.

One person tweeted: "That was the best casa amor I’ve seen so far omfg or am I being dramatic ."

A second added: "Unbelievable stuff from #LoveIsland tonight."

While a third said: "That episode was amazing omg."

The dramatic recoupling began as Maya Jama strutted over to the fire pit and told the boys it was time to face the music.

Casey went first and admitted that one girl has made his decision "particularly hard".

He decided to stick with Claudia despite snogging Cynthia during Casa Amor.

The news send shockwaves through everyone, as Cynthia admitted: "I can't even look at him." 

Fortunately for Casey, Claudia returned alone, saying: "I thought he might have coupled up. I'm so happy" 

Things weren’t completely plain sailing though as Cynthia told everyone she had been straddling and kissing him on the terrace.

Kai went next and said he was "jumping in with two feet" as he chose to re-couple with Sanam. 

His partner Olivia returned with Maxwell, but she still didn’t seem happy about the outcome, saying: "It's very telling. Can't say I'm shocked." 

She added: "His loss, my gain" 

Ron followed the drama and told Maya how it had been “horrid” without Lana.

He said he hopes this is "proof" she can trust him and as Lana came back alone she admitted she was “buzzing”.

Their happy reunion was followed by Tom, who said he did find a connection in Casa but decided to stick with Samie.

Samie walked back in alone and said she was "relieved".

Lydia revealed they had been kissing and cuddling, but added: "But if they've got something special, I can't argue with it." 

Up next was Will who decides to stay with Jessie, who breaks down in tears when she sees Will is alone too.

And it’s not long until Will is crying too as he admits he kissed Layla, telling Jessie: "I let myself down and you.”

Finally, Shaq finds out his fate and is horrified to see Tanya return with Martin.

Gobsmacked, Shaq said: "I'm a bit lost for words. I actually meant it when I said I love you. Not everyone means it." 

Tanya told him she wasn't expecting to vibe with someone at Casa and says it’s "definitely not the end" with him.

But Shaq replied: "It's the end for me."
