Brian Packham made homeless after violent incident in Coronation Street

BRIAN Packham is to be left with nowhere to stay when things go from bad to worse for him on the Coronation Street cobbles.

The newsagent, played by Peter Gunn, looks set to find himself homeless TWICE on the show.

Hapless Brian is dealt a blow when Ed Bailey informs him that following some checks, part of his flat's electricity system needs rewiring.

Ed is forced to tell Brian that he must vacate the property whilst the works are completed leaving Brian with nowhere to go.

It isn't long until his property woes seem to be rectified however as Mary quickly offers him a place to stay on the sofa.

As Mary helps Brian pack his things for the move, she comes across an issue of the Gazette.

The florist is left stunned to discover that it was Brian that wrote the glorious review of Mary's previous acting efforts for the paper leaving her left feeling hurt by her friend's betrayal.

Furious at the deciet, Mary lashes out at Brian and attacks him in a rage, whacking him full throttle around the head with the copy of the newspaper.

She insists he must find somewhere else to stay, causing Brian to face homelessness once again.

Brian eventually finds somewhere to stay with Amy Barlow at her flat but it quickly becomes clear that Brian is not the usual type of person to fit in with their crowd.

He offers to do his Vernon Kay impression in a bid to impress Amy and her university friends who she has over for the evening but Summer quickly tells Amy that his presence is driving her up the wall.

In a bid to get Mary to take him back in and reconcile their friendship, Amy tells her that Brian is deeply sorry for his actions.

As the pair chat in the cafe, Brian is quick to tell the youngster that they have resolved their difference and as such is inviting Mary over to the flat for tea.

Amy is left disgruntled that her plan to get rid of him has well and truly backfired.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
