A GREAT British Menu star left BBC viewers seriously distracted with a 'confusing' fashion statement.
The BBC Two programme sees four chefs from the South West go head to head with their starter and fish courses.
They were overseen by host Andi Oliver, who explained the requirements of each dish and how they had to be inspired by animation and illustration celebrating Paddington’s 65th birthday.
They were then introduced to a veteran chef from the competition, Michael O'Hare.
Michael was on hand to mentor the chefs, having taken part in the competition himself on six different occasions, winning once.
As Andi introduced him in a voiceover, Michael was seen walking towards the kitchen in black jeans and a black T-shirt.

But the chef added an extra fashion flare by wearing mustard yellow platform boots which featured a clear plastic high heel.
Great British Menu viewers immediately took to Twitter to discuss the fashion choice.
One wrote: "Michael O’Hare channelling Disco Stu on #GreatBritishMenu."
Another added: "Micheal O'Hare has a strange taste in footwear #confused."

A third tweeted: "holy moly! Michael O’Hare’s shoes" alongside a purple love heart emoji.
Meanwhile a fourth shared a gif from The Office of Ricky Gervais' character David Brent showing off his heeled boot and captioned it: "Michael O'Hare walking into the #greatbritishmenu kitchen."
The Great British Menu airs weeknights at 8pm on BBC Two.
