Marcus Dean makes devastating discovery in Emmerdale

MARCUS Dean has been romantically involved with Ethan Anderson for months and the pair have been going strong.

However, their relationship could be in jeopardy after a shocking discovery next week in Emmerdale.

Nothing prepared Marcus Dean (portrayed by Darcy Grey) for love in the Dales upon his first arrival.

As ITV viewers will remember, the character made his debut in the eponymous village after being contacted by Rhona Goskirk.

At the time, the vet received news that her former husband (and rapist) was dying with his final wish being fixing his relationship with his son.

Marcus had then left Emmerdale before returning, settling in and eventually finding love in the form of Ethan Anderson (Emile John).

The pair have jumped through multiple hurdles together, including trying to bring down the solicitor's corrupt boss, Greg.

They have even started to think about getting their own place as a couple, thus taking their romance to the next level.

But in scenes due on our screens next week, there could be more trouble in paradise for them.

After a failed date with Ethan, a dejected Marcus arrives home only to be dragged away by Naomi Walters (Karene Peter) for a night of their own.

Marcus is later appeased when Ethan assures him he does want them to find a place together.

Unbeknownst to him, however, Ethan receives a message from a mystery man at the same time.

It doesn't take long for Marcus to figure out what's going and he's later horrified to see Ethan getting into a stranger's car.

What is Ethan hiding?

Could he be unfaithful to Marcus?

Could this bring out the worst of him?

Although he's managed to find a place in the Dales, Marcus was initially suspected of being up to no good when viewers were first introduced to him in early 2022.

This was mostly due to his parentage as he's the son of one of Emmerdale's deadliest serial killers.

But just as his on-screen alter ego joined residents in the village, actor Darcy Grey teased that Marcus could be just as dangerous as his father Pierce, despite recent appearances.

Does Ethan have something to fear?
