Dragons’ Den star Steven Bartlett left cringing as contestant shuts down Peter Jones’ theory
STEVEN Bartlett was left cringing as one hopeful on Dragons' Den was involved in a very awkward clash with Peter Jones.
The BBC One series returned with even more hopefuls vying out to win an investment in the high-pressured Den.
First up was an inventor of an innovate new van alarm system.
Contestant Micheal decided to set up the business after having had personal experience of his van being broken into.
His new innovation consisted of creating a brand new alarm system that would alert van owner to potential break-ins at the earliest opportunity.
As the Dragons began their questioning, Peter Jones was quick to point out that despite the new element to his alarm, it might already be too 'late' to prevent break-ins.

Peter said to the hopeful: "It is probably too late with this as well, if I was going to break in there, I'd be in there in seconds.
"The alarm would still go off."
Michael quickly jumped in to cut Peter off as he shouted: "No, Peter, I am sorry but that is not the case."
As he attempted to defend his product, Peter snapped back: "But if I'm going to steal something from the thing, I'm going to need the door open aren't I?"
As the hopeful simply replied 'no', Steven Bartlett could not hide his discontent at the conversation as he scrunched his face up at the awkward exchange.
Baffled by his answer, Peter shot back: "How am I going to get something out?"
As Michael insisted that Peter had never come across 'door peeling', Steven was left raising his eyebrows at the epic clap back at his fellow dragon.
The star quickly glanced over to Peter to see his response however he remained defiant in his line of questioning.
Unfortunately for him, he failed to win the hearts and more importantly the cash of any of the dragons.
Dragons' Den airs Thursdays at 8pm on BBC One.
