NEWSNIGHT took a chaotic turn after a guest's phone repeatedly went off during their live interview on Tuesday night.
At the helm of the programme was broadcaster and journalist Victoria Derbyshire as the show covered the strikes taking place throughout the country.
But during a segment halfway through the show on the current state and future of the Conservative party, the programme was thrown into chaos.
Producers invited former Tory politician Lord Baker of Dorking to speak on the topic when his phone started ringing.
As he reached into his jacket pocket for the phone, Victoria couldn't help but smirk at the on air disruption.
She then said: "Let me switch it off," as she reached for the device.

"Let me put it on silent for you, you're in demand, you really are," she added.
Lord Baker then joked: "I somehow don't think it's the Prime Minister!"
But then the phone rang again just a few moments later as Derbyshire laughed and said: "Give me your phone!"
While trying to quiz Baker further, Victoria gasped "Oh my God" as it rang for a third time.

She told him that "someone is telling you to shh," before trying to continue with the interview.
After a fourth phone call, it seemed annoyed producers got fed up too as the interview was wrapped up.
Victoria then told the Lord: "Ok just to say Richard Sharpe says he wasn't involved in making a loan or arranging a guarantee and I'm going to leave it there.
"There's your phone and thank you so much for coming in."
Just recently the BBC were forced to apologise for another phone problem on air.
Prankster Jarvo, a serial pitch invader, had broken into the Match of the Day studio and activated a sexy sounds ring tone on a mobile phone, which he hid on the set.
He then called the phone during Gary’s studio segments at the Wolves v Liverpool FA Cup replay at Molineux last month.
